• Lightweight – Low density (approx. 0.97 g/cm³), floats on water.
• Excellent abrasion resistance – Outperforms polyester and nylon in high-friction environments.
• UV & chemical resistance – Stable under sunlight (with UV stabilizers); resists most acids, alkalis, and solvents.
• Low moisture absorption – Does not rot or mildew.
• Flat, tape-like cross-section – Gives good cover and binding properties in ropes and nets.
• Cost-effective – Generally less expensive than spun or filament UHMWPE yarns.
